Position Description

If you desire an opportunity to help the Navy and Marine Corps, Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a Junior Acquisition Analyst, you will be a part of an acquisition team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet.

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

 

Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for developing briefs and supporting the acquisition team across program platforms in varying stages of the acquisition process.
  • Provide support required to encompass all phases of the Acquisition Life Cycle/Defense Acquisition Management Framework.  This may range across:
    • Pre-Systems Acquisition (Concept and Technology Development Phase)
    • Systems Acquisition (System Development and Demonstration Phase
    • Production and Deployment Phase) 
    • Sustainment (Operations and Support Phase)

In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,037.42 to $93,056.69; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 0-2 years of relative experience involving developing briefs or supporting major acquisition programs. Individuals with technical school or military certifications/experience will be considered. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
  • Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance post-employment.
  • United States (U.S.) citizenship.
  • Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
  • 10% travel is required 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience supporting for a Navy Acquisition (ACAT I) Program is desired.
  • DoD 5000.02 knowledge and experience is desired.
