In this role, you will:

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIX-MME, SCI-N, SubLAN, ISNS
• Provide OJT instruction on TACNET operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.
• Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintains and repair products/equipment.
• Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and
  technicians.
• Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves
  issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.
• Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant
  initiatives.
• Lead and direct the work of others.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card).
• A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience
• A Bachelor's Degree will be considered in lieu of A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience
• 8 years' of experience (Experience highly preferred in a technical trade or craft such as
  electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, to include: developing
  appropriate course material, hands on practical experience with techniques being taught,
  researching latest technical discipline practices, establishing training needs, developing goals
  and objectives, and developing training programs.)
• Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET
  systems.
• Experience in three (3) of the following four (4) areas:
  • Network Administration
  • System Administration
  • Technical Documentation
  • Training
• Demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.
• Familiar in training TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems which should include defining training
  requirements, use of Navy Authoring tools (CPM/LOM, AIM, etc.) to develop training Navy
  training curriculum, and application of Instructional System Design (ISD) process.
• Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard
  trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical
  Trainer (CTT+).
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair TACNET systems as an individual and in team
  situations.
• Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating
  or fixing problem equipment.
• Ability to promptly respond to telephone and email requests for technical support.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as necessary.
