Position Description

Are you looking to lead a small team of Trial Card professionals to provide direct support to our Navy customer? Then Serco has the right opportunity for you!

 

As a part of this dynamic team located in Bath, Maine, you will be expected to bring your leadership skills, database administration knowledge, and periodically ride the destroyer class of ships at sea, to positively impact a safe and complete ship delivery to our Navy's sailors.

 

As a Trial Card (TC) Production Analyst Supervisor, you will work closely with your team and senior government personnel in trial card screenings, software testing, report generation, and trend analysis for new construction of ARLEIGH BURKE Class Destroyers.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership and responsibility to Run Tabs and upload cards into the Technical Support Management (TSM) database. (Send to BIW and after BIW assigns trades upload into TSM)
  • Lead and oversee a team of up to 5 employees
  • Understand and perform workflow in TC correction process.
  • Participate in at sea trials and trial card prescreening.
  • Conduct trial card recording, tracking, coding, analysis using TSM and Electronic Trial Card (ETC).
  • Provide ships force with periodic trial card reports and metrics, as necessary.
  • Prepare materials for trial card entry into TSM and ETC.
  • Set up the ETC network onboard ship and interoffice to troubleshoot and manage network while out to sea (or in office).
  • Conduct inventory of Trials equipment to assist receipt and shipment back and forth to Pascagoula, Mississippi.
  • Compact and conduct backups of the ETC related data.
  • Create daily, weekly, and special request trial card reports as needed.
  • Understand the verify and accept process for card tasking.
  • Perform ETC administrator duties, during inspections, certs, and sea trials.
  • Prepare and participate in trial card screening conferences.
  • Build and set up queries and download trial card data from TSM.
  • Participate in testing of new software modifications for ETC, TSM, and Trial Card Reporting (TCR) (our Serco developed trial card report generating tool).
  • Build and assemble training package for use in training new hires. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant Trial Card experience
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field will be considered in lieu of a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant Trial Card experience
  • 5 years of relevant shipbuilder or similar experience.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to frequently interface with the internal and external customers.
  • Ability to actively participate in scheduled or ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to periodically travel out to sea to capture discrepancies onboard ships.
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
