Position Description

In this role, you will:

  • Travel to support DoD, Federal Civilian, and commercial customers as required.
  • Provide multi-disciplinary support to government system acquisition program management offices and will serve as an advisor to government personnel.
  • Lead working groups and develop solutions to major acquisition program issues.
  • Support multiple projects for a variety of DoD acquisition program offices.
  • Work with senior government personnel on a regular basis and frequently provide briefings and lead large meetings. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years broad technical and managerial experience with DoD, including architecture development and analysis in support of Major acquisition programs
  • Five (5) years of experience in documenting functional and technical architectures for major weapons systems
  • Experience in DODAF architecture product development
  • An active DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Subject Matter Expertise using System Architect tool, Magic Draw Cameo Enterprise Architecture
  • Experience with Information Support Plan (ISP) development
  • Experience developing Requirements Documentation in accordance with Joint Capabilities and Integration and Development System (JCIDS) Manual
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Master’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with DoDAF and MBSE modeling
  • Provide MBSE/SysML expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team
  • Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and systems engineering software
  • U.S. DoD Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts including operations views (OV), systems views (SV), capability views (CV), data views (DV) using systems modeling language (SysML)
  • Experience capturing stakeholder needs in models
  • Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents
  • Prior Experience working with other DoD Stakeholders
  • Experience executing alternative/rapid acquisition authorities
  • Broad experience with development, coordination and communication of system engineering strategies and recommendations with mid- and senior-level Service and OSD personnel
  • Enterprise Architecture certification
  • Active-duty military experience or
  • Federal Government service
