This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret clearance and customer approval.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems.

 In this role, you will:

• You will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team in the drafting, editing, review, and verification of design plans and technical manuals
• Overall, you will be part of an Engineering team consisting of mechanical and electrical engineers that works closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the fleet
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) reviews on technical manuals, drawings, and other deliverables before sending to the customer
• Edit new and revised relevant technical documentation
• Assist the customer with coordinating meetings, discussions, and action items as needed
• Maintain workload and respond to tasking within the schedule and technical requirements identified
• Assist, guide, and mentor junior Engineers, as needed
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

To be successful in this role, you will have:  

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience. Military experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Must have a DoD Secret security clearance
• Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar, is required
• Experience performing modelling and simulation of mechanic systems
• Effective organization level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be able to travel up to 10%.
