Position Description

Are you an Administrative Assistant looking for a place where you can make an impact every day? Serco has the opportunity for you! Join our team today as an Administrative Assistant and support the United States Army in Adelphi, Maryland.

 

This Administrative Assistant will support the Division Director, his Deputies and staff in performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the Division.

 

This position requires an individual who can adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and an individual that possesses a high degree of accountability, flexibility, along with ability to work independently.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for business operations, including front office administration, greeting visitors, online calendar management and organizational hierarchy; meeting logistics and invitations; work orders; records management; among other duties
  • Receive, review, and forward security clearance requests for frequently visited locations for the Division Office and for the branch offices
  • Properly handle Personal Identity Information (PII)
  • Manage the Form-1 process (preparation of Public Affairs approval for publications) for the Division
  • Complete expense and travel orders online for senior personnel using government systems (DTS)
  • Support the fiscal accountability of resources through expert use of the Army Time and Attendance Business systems (ATAAPS)
  • Assist Division leadership in planning, tracking, and reporting budget activities and status of funds
  • Support the development and preparation of reports, funding documents and inputting information into the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to obtain & maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
  • A high school diploma with 4+ years' of experience OR an associates degree with 2+ years' of experience

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite with demonstrated experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively convey information across all organizational levels
  • Strong customer service focus

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $45,892 to $68,837; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
