The Service Writer performs a performs a variety of customer service functions and is the initial point of contact for vehicle operators and shop technicians for scheduled and requested maintenance. The Service Writer is a detail-oriented, multi-tasking professional with good communication and people skills and is adaptable to regularly shifting work priorities and emergent issues.
The Service Writer serves as the primary customer point of contact for all maintenance concerns. The role requires a professional work ethic, reliability, strong customer communication skills and good administrative skills.
The Service Writer reports directly to the Operations Manager and a regional foreman has daily oversight of this role for operational issues and assignments. The Service Writer is afforded the freedom to develop their own work sequences within established procedures, policies and guidelines.
