Position Description

Looking for a career where you can make a difference every day? Serco is hiring for a Verifier to join the Missing Participants Team. This position is for full-time telework.

 

The Verifier will be on a dynamic team, supporting customers with processing their retirement pensions. This position is responsible for meeting daily tasks associated with their assigned operational activities, processes, and workflows. The candidate will support the Operations Supervisor, Task Lead, and Service Line by conducting review and approval of work within the workflow to ensure compliance with prescribed standards for quality and timeliness in support of their assigned operational tasks.

 

You will achieve operational objectives by utilizing defined policies, procedures, workflows and work standards of your assigned operational processes and workflows to resolve complex problems to ensure that all assigned deliverables are performed efficiently and effectively.

 

As a Verifier, you can expect to:

  • Review and approve letters, calculations, and data loads for Missing Participant Plans.
  • Conduct research for participant issues.
  • Support benefit payment processing activities.
  • Track errors for utilization in error matrices, scorecards and identify training needs.
  • Commit to excellence in all work situations.
  • Work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, which may involve using independent judgment.
  • Adhere to PBGC, Serco, and team policies.
  • Embody the Serco values.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the target salary range is $48,000 - $60,000; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An associate degree in related field with 2 years of related experience. Experience can include, but not be limited to: pension benefits, claims processing, customer service, and/or quality review.
    • Three years of experience is required in lieu of a degree.
  • Three years of related experience; experience can include, but not be limited to: pension benefits, claims processing, customer service, and/or quality review.
  • Ability to exercise analysis and have experience in selecting documented procedures to follow in searching for, interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of source documents.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to benefits administration.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Experience currently working on the PBGC contract.
