Position Description

As an Exercise Planner at U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC), you will work with exercise planners and staffers, to design, plan, prepare, execute

and evaluate joint, combined, and Service level exercises with the purpose to rehearse plan-based tasks and

train operational commanders and staffs.

 

ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

 

 

In this role you will:

  • Develop exercise options based on unit availability, training requirements, and exercise objectives.
  • Develop and brief exercise options to senior client leaders, works with outside organizations and subordinate units during mission analysis, and finalize exercise planning by providing concept of operations and writing exercise orders.
  • Collect data and develops after action reports and builds after action briefings for senior client leaders.
  • Use existing resources to develop exercises of Joint and Combined training events.
  • Draft announcements and tasking documents organizing the team in support of the framing of the exercise.
  • Provide support with the development of the requirement to be loaded into the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) for sourcing of the force package that will be required in support of the exercise.

Qualifications

To be successful in this roll, you will have:

  • An active DOD Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Have a valid Passport and ability to travel frequently.
  • Have practical understanding of the Joint Exercise Event Life Cycle (JELC).
  • Experience with Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS).
  • Experience in the INDO-PACOM theater.
  • Experience briefing, and collaborating with senior staff officers and civilians.
  • Experience collaborating across a geographically distributed environment.
  • Proficient in MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Travel may be required up to 25%.

Additional experience that may set you apart:

  • INDOPACOM, MARFORPAC, or III MEF staff experience.

In compliance with Hawaii’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $82,776.46 to $134,510.73; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
