Serco is seeking a Principal Exercise Designer to join our team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Mission Training Complex (MTC) in Washington state. This role offers an opportunity to directly support Army training through the design and tailoring of exercises to meet a range of complex training and technical requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Design and tailor large-scale exercises to meet specific training and technical requirements.
• Represent the MTC at all in-progress reviews (IPRs) for each exercise.
• Coordinate information flow across the MTC, working with both Government Staff and Contract Staff to support training units through TC 7-101.
• Ensure the facility, simulations, and network connections are properly planned and executed.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to support large-scale training events.
• Provide specialized expertise in planning and executing phases of military training exercises, including doctrinal development, scenario development, after-action review (AAR), and analysis.
• Maintain current knowledge of Army, United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), and United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) training development programs and policies to inform home station training requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional and/or military experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional and/or military experience, or
• Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional and/or military experience.
• Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
• Knowledge of Corps and Division tactics, military graphics, tactical terms, and acronyms.
• Knowledge of processes used to prepare Combat Operations.
• Familiarity with currently used simulations.
• Must be able to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
• Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Strong understanding of military training development, exercise planning, and doctrinal applications.
• Ability to coordinate complex training support requirements and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Army FA57 – Simulations Officer experience.
