Position Description

Serco is seeking an SCA Supply Technician 1 to join our team supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to critical logistics and supply support operations in a dynamic military training environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform technical supply management work including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to Mission Training Complex (MTC) supply activities.
  • Prioritize work by commodity area or function, and allocate time based on difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
  • Catalogue inventory using bar code scanning technology.
  • Ensure all government-furnished equipment is properly hand-receipted at the end-user level.
  • Assist in ordering expendable and durable supplies.
  • Coordinate with the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) when a government vehicle is required.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with building maintenance and repairs and prepare work and service orders as required.
  • Perform assignments usually related to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or functions that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.
  • Consider program requirements alongside variations from standardized guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience working with U.S. Army Supply and Property Book procedures, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Strong analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of problems, collect necessary data, and take or recommend action based on established guidelines.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • At least 20 years of experience with Army Supply and Property Book procedures.
