Position Description

 

Serco is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer - Program Technical Analyst (PTA) to join our team supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise in Mission Command training strategies and simulation systems to support strategic decision-making.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with the MCTSP Program Manager (PM) or designated representative to provide expertise in Mission Command training strategy and simulation systems support.
  • Serve as part of a two-person team composed of analysts well-versed in Army Combined Arms Training Strategy (or most recent HQDA-approved Training Strategy) requirements and Army information systems for Mission Command.
  • Provide support to ARNG MCTSP projects through planning, preparing, executing, and offering recommendations for strategic decision-making assistance.
  • Deliver doctrinal and technical advisory assistance, briefing support, and assistance with program initiatives including special reports, meetings, white papers, and other related projects.
  • Interact with National Simulations Center (NSC), Program Executive Office – Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI), and other enterprise partners as requested by the PM.
  • Support frequent travel to the National Capital Region (NCR) at the request of the PM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of FA57 experience supporting Mission Command exercises and Mission Command Information Systems’ training, or
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of FA57 experience supporting Mission Command exercises and Mission Command Information Systems’ training.
  • Graduate of the U.S. Army Simulations Operations Course.
  • Thorough working knowledge and experience with the Training Support System Enterprise (TSS-E), NSC, PEO-STRI, and Army Capabilities Manager – Constructive (ACM-C).
  • Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time).
  • Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong understanding of Army training strategy, Mission Command systems, and simulation support structures.
  • Ability to operate independently and provide high-quality briefings and deliverables.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Understanding of mission command training at the battalion, brigade, and/or division levels of the Army.
