Position Description

Serco is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist – SharePoint Administrator to join our team supporting the Mission Training Complex (MTC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington. In this position, you will play a key role in managing SharePoint content and knowledge management processes, enabling streamlined information flow and collaboration for the MTC team and its supported customer base.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist and SharePoint Administrator for the MTC.
  • Implement knowledge management initiatives under the guidance of the Program Manager and Government leadership.
  • Administer the MTC SharePoint portal, managing sensitive government data with care and precision.
  • Represent the Government in meetings and conferences as required.
  • Coordinate content development and updates with Government KM Leads.
  • Design, test, and implement KM initiatives to improve organizational information flow.
  • Utilize modern KM technology such as relational databases, data analysis tools, and content management systems.
  • Apply administrator-level knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint for both staff and customer collaboration and communication.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • One of the following:
    • High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of knowledge management and/or SharePoint experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of related experience.
    • Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience in web design, content development, and workflow implementation in a SharePoint or equivalent collaborative environment.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge flow across people, processes, and technology.
  • Must possess an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must meet baseline requirements under DoDM 8140.03.
  • Must be able to work onsite at JBLM and travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and collaboration.
  • Solid technical foundation in Microsoft SharePoint and related KM platforms.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Computing Environment (CE) certification.
  • At least 10 years of military experience.
  • Familiarity with TS-MATS system.
