Position Description

Serco supports the Department of the Navy (DoN) as a supplier on the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Technical Support Services (NETSS) program providing Information Technology and Business Process design and implementation services to modernize and optimize Financial Management, Accountable Property System of Record (APSR), and Human Resource Management and Workload Management (HRM&WM) for the DoN by fully implementing ERP at the enterprise level as the system of record for the DoN.  NETSS also performs sustainment activities on all deployed SAP modules within the Navy ERP system.

 

You will be part of a large team of Functional Analysts, Application Programmers, and other IT professionals that works closely with the Navy customers and other NETSS Teams to deliver a state of the art, high performing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution that is one of the largest SAP software installations in the world.  The Serco team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for its outstanding contributions to a long series of contracts supporting  the Navy ERP Program over the past 20 years.

 

You will provide SAP Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM) expertise to confirm/develop business requirements definition. You will provide configuration, data migration, interface, and functional support as necessary. You will lead design of IM/WM interfaces, conversion programs, reports, and enhancements. You will develop and maintain systems documentation including business process procedures, functional design specifications, process flows, and test cases.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Providing SAP IM/WM expertise to confirm/develop business requirements definition
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand procurement and materials processes
  • Providing configuration, data migration, interface, and functional support as necessary
  • Ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules
  • SAP application support, incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution of SAP-related issues

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 10 years of SAP experience
  • Expertise in Inbound, RF, Quality Inspection, Pack/Pass, Serial Number Management, Batch Management, Handling Units, and Transportation/Shipping Management
  • Experience in SDLC (requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, test, implementation, and post production support of standard and custom business solutions (in a Tier 3 environment))
  • Integration knowledge with CO, FM, FI, SD and MM
  • Federal experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a recognized technical  engineering  scientific  managerial  business  or other discipline related to area of expertise.
    • Four years of documented relevant experience OR an associate's degree together with two years of documented relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • The ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • 5 or more years SAP IM/WM experience
  • Knowledge of decentralized SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and integration with IM/WM
  • Familiarity with handling HazMat regulations, compliance and integrating safety protocols into SAP workflows.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of and experience with DoD and/or Navy ERP and IT architectures
  • Understanding of change management processes
