Position Description

Are you a Field Service Engineer looking for a place you can make a difference every day? Serco is searching for an experienced Field Service Engineer in support of the Navy Operational Support Center’s (NOSC)/Navy Reserve Center’s (NRC) throughout the South-East (SE) and Mid-Atlantic (MA) Regions - (100% Remote).  

Serco supports the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific’s (NIWC-PAC) mission to provide Electronic Security Systems (ESS) engineering, integration, installation, preventive and corrective maintenance services, life cycle sustainment, system retrofits and upgrade services to the Navy Operational Support Center, (NOSC). Also referred to as Navy Reserve Center, (NRC).


You will be required to travel up to 75%+ to troubleshoot and repair/replace ESS equipment to meet the operational readiness and provide continuous life cycle sustainment of these systems and assets.

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and perform life cycle sustainment on products and equipment including access control, CCTV, and networked video recording systems at NOSC’s/NRC’s throughout the South-Eastern (SE) and Mid-Atlantic (MA) Areas Of Operation (AOR).
  • Identify faults, analyze mechanical, and/or electrical failures, fault isolate network issues and provide recommendations on products or services that best fit operability standards for the customer’s needs.
  • Perform configuration management on replacement equipment.
  • Rely on technical experience and organizational skills to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security Clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required 
  • Bachelor's degree
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 8 years of experience working in the field 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in the field
  • Qualified candidate will have an excellent mechanical aptitude, be experienced performing functional and operational testing, perform technical and general maintenance, ability to read and interpret schematics and can troubleshoot various Access Control and Network Video Management for CCTV systems
  • Be able to travel as required up to 80% of the time
  • Rely on proven experience, show initiative and use solid judgement on planning and executing assignments

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $67,889.77 to $113,149.62; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
