Position Description

If you want to work on cutting edge Air Force programs, Serco has a great opportunity for you!  As a Subject Matter Expert Logistician Manager, you will be supporting the Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/WAG) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  No teleworking is authorized.  (This is not an EPASS contract.)

 

The Fighters and Advanced Aircraft, Special Programs Division develops, tests, and rapidly fields classified Air Force aeronautical capabilities. AFLCMC/WAG conducts studies to identify new capabilities; transitions laboratory technologies to operational platforms; executes demonstrations; and develops, tests, and rapidly fields new capabilities for the warfighter. You will be providing innovative product support solutions on multiple programs by working with your program team, test organizations, operational users, prime contractors, and subcontractors.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert that applies logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy for one or more acquisition programs.
  • Address Product Support Elements for Air Force programs: 1) sustaining/system engineering, 2) design interface, 3) supply support, 4) maintenance planning and management, 5) support equipment/automatic test systems, 6) facilities, 7) packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T), 8) technical data management/technical orders, 9) manpower and personnel, 10) training, 11) computer resources, and 12) protection of critical information and anti-tamper provision.
  • Identify weapon systems logistic requirements and resources, technical evaluation of contractor proposals, and development of logistics support and maintainability plans.
  • Lead Asset Visibility and Tracking of program assets and Government Furnished Property (GFP) at several locations using Microsoft Office and specialized software databases. Ensures program is compliant with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and conducts reporting requirements.
  • Plan and execute supply support for weapon systems; support equipment provisioning and sustainment; and PHS&T duties.
  • Assist the PM in performing site activation surveys and recommending logistical options for new site establishment.
  • Supports weapon system deployment planning and execution with operational users. Provide guidance and assistance in developing Readiness Spares Packages (RSP).
  • Develop acquisition program documentation to include Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Memorandum of Agreements, Depot transition plans, and contract statements of work.
  • Develop, modify, or validate documentation for maintenance planning, spares requirements/provisioning, automated logistics, maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • A U.S. Citizenship.
  • A SECRET security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility with background investigation current within the past 5 years or under Continuous Evaluation.
  • Master’s Degree with 20 years of relevant experience
    • or Bachelor’s Degree with 24 years of relevant experience.
  • In depth knowledge of DoD acquisition program product support.
  • The ability to travel 25%. 

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • A TOP SECRET security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility with background investigation current within the past 6 years or under Continuous Evaluation.
  • 12 months or more of SAP experience within the past 5 years.
  • DoD Acquisition Program Office experience.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Life Cycle Logistics Certification.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, supply support, support equipment, PHS&T, site activation, GFP, FIAR compliance, and deployment planning
