Position Description

This position is contingent upon your ability to transfer and maintain your U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.

 

Serco supports the Joint Staff J7 as the prime for their Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) contract.  Our team provides online learning worldwide, 24/7 in support of the Joint Force.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Support Knowledge Services Branch of JKO, by being the trainer for JKO elevated users world-wide
  • Provides operational expertise and give support to the Knowledge Services (KS) chief by conducting online training sessions for the 2900+ elevated users of JKO.
  • Maintains the non-disclosure agreements and conducts the training.
  • Supports the KS chief by representing JKO in Chairman's Joint Exercise Division meetings, assisting in matching exercise training objectives with JKO content, transferring knowledge from JS J7-Operations, and assisting the courseware development teams in the production of relevant materials based upon that knowledge.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Must have one of the following:
    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of military experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 of military experience
    • Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of military experience
  • Must be a JKO Technical Administrator on the JKO Learning Management System (LMS), with a minimum of 5 years JKO experience at the Technical Administrator level with a full working knowledge and rights to all JKO LMS systems.
  • Knowledge of and operational experience in DoD and joint programs, policies, and procedures for joint doctrine, education, and training, especially at the operational and strategic levels of war.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).
  • Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia.

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

 

  • Minimum of 20 years military experience
  • Minimum of 1 tour at the operational or strategic level of war.
