Position Description

Serco supports the US Air Force as a prime contractor for the Distributed Mission Operations Center Infrastructure, Development, and Engineering (DMOC IDE) contract supporting the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS). The mission of the 705 CTS is to “develop and integrate technologies to deliver a Live-Virtual-Constructive combat environment for Air Force, Joint and Coalition warfighter training.”

 

You will be the technical leader of a team of distributed mission operations professionals that work closely with the customer to deliver quality training environments.  The team has been recognized by the Air Force and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the program.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Guide and direct DMOC Battlespace/DevSpace infrastructure development.
  • Provide vision for the development of new and upgraded system capabilities.
  • Work with the Technical Operations Manager to oversee O&M activities.
  • Provide System Engineering expertise in the creation of DMO solutions.
  • Partner with the Configuration Manager to implement configuration management over the software, hardware and overall systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline with at least 20 years of technical experience; Or a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline with at least 15 years of technical experience.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility.
  • Must be willing to travel 10% of the time

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • At least 5 years of specific experience in Modeling & Simulation (M&S)/Live Virtual Constructive (LVC)/Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) management.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, ideally with Product Owner or Scrum master experience.
