Position Description

Serco Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, career-oriented Experienced Contracts Administrator to fill a challenging role in a quick changing, growing, and customer-oriented culture. This is a fast paced, cradle-to-grave contracting position which will require the administration of a variety of federal contracts, handling of multiple pre-bid opportunities, proposal activities, negotiations, contract award, and administration of the resultant contract. The Contracts Administrator will work directly with customers and senior leaders for this Business.

 

This role will be responsible for administering contract(s) with moderate to high risk. Successful performance will require a high degree of independent and creative judgment applied to goals and objectives of the corporation.

 

This position can be staffed at any of the locations listed below:

 

Hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days in office

    • Orlando, FL 
    • Huntsville, AL 
    • Herndon, VA
    • May consider other locations

In this role you will:

  • Prepares complex proposals, leads contract negotiations, and administration of contracting activities.  
  • Interacts with customers in accordance with established policies and procedures, applicable laws, customer requirements, and sound business judgment.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field`s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • United States Citizenship is required 
  • A Bachelor's degree

    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 9 years of professional experience working within contracts 
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience working within contracts 

  • Cradle to grave contracting experience
  • Strong collaboration skills with working knowledge of current technology and applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong business acumen, be able to understand business and financial management, possess business writing skills and working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and international contracting practices, TAs, and NDAs
  • Experience with US Department of Defense acquisitions
  • Familiar with contract types, such as FFP, cost-type, T&M, Fixed Fee, Award Fee, and Incentive Fee
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for occasional travel

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience with DoD and GSA contracts
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Experience preparing OTA proposals and administering them

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $63,958.43 to $140,624.86; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
