Join Serco as a Junior Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Navigation (C4N) Hardware Software Engineer. You will be part of an engineering team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships, auxiliary ships, and landing craft to the fleet and sustaining existing fleet assets. Our team is led by a Program Manager having decades of experience working in the DoD and shipbuilding industry. This position will be located in the DMV area.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.
Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy ships and craft and supports surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment. Working in our Arlington, VA office, you will work closely with Government, maritime industry professionals, and support personnel. In this role you will:
• Become a Subject Matter expert in C4N systems and provide technical recommendations.
• Assisst in resolution of C4N tasks based on emergent issues.
• Review and provide recommendations regarding technical documentation.
• Travel to assist and provide assessment/analysis for test events, plans and reports.
• Participate in Hardware and Software reviews.
• In support of C4N maintenance and sustainment milestones, provide oversight of C4N hardware and software improvements.
• Provide administrative support to brief technical issues and maintain technical baselines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and 0-2 years of relevant experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 4 years of relevant work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
• A DoD security clearance is required or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance post employment.
• Ability to learn shipbuilding acquisition, design, production, test and trials, and configuration management.
• Ability to provide analytical support.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for work purposes.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary for this role is $63,881.84 to $106,470.54 however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
