Position Description

If you seek a rewarding, high profile and challenging position supporting projects for the US Navy which requires technical rigor and will tap and build on your expertise, Serco has a wonderful opportunity for you! The SSBN Program Support Analyst will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine COLUMBIA Program Office.  Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

This position is located at our site in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Team Submarine’s Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office is responsible for:

The construction of COLUMBIA Class submarines, financial and budget management, shipyard support of submarines, vendor support of submarines, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and post-delivery submarine certifications and test programs.

The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

David Drury https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-drury leads this team as a Navy veteran. The team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.

In this role, you will:

Leverage your U.S. Submarine experience to:

    • Research, analyze, and provide informed recommendations to government customers on refit cycles, preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, and deployment planning.

    • Support the planning, tracking, and execution of refit periods, maintenance availability milestones, and operational readiness reviews.

    • Offer guidance and subject matter expertise to Trident Refit Facility leadership as required.

    • Regularly interface with senior Navy leadership, including SUBGRU-10, Squadrons 16 and 20, Trident Training Facility, and Strategic Systems Programs.

    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate formal meetings, briefings, and reviews—managing agendas, capturing meeting minutes, and tracking action items to completion

    • Assist in the preparation and editing of technical reports, schedules, and briefings to ensure clarity and accuracy.

    • Coordinate on-site and off-site travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, and itineraries, for both government and contractor personnel.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline.

  • 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing or production support.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Flexibility in adapting to changing job requirements and schedules.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Experience with Navy acquisition processes and Submarine Programs.

  • Familiarity with customer-facing roles or direct end-item customer interaction.

  • Recent experience working with Team Submarine is highly desirable.
