Position Description

This is a part time tele-work position.

 

Serco is contracted by USACE to renovate and upgrade a power plant, including the installation of High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (HEMP) protective measures. You will be part of a 15-20 member Serco team that performs construction and manages subcontractors and installation work at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland. Serco supports USACE in renovating the Power Building (J-Plant) and providing it with High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) protective measures.  Serco's site leadership has extensive experience successfully working USACE projects worldwide including a previous HEMP upgrade successfully completed in 2021.

 

The Master Scheduler is Serco’s designated representative responsible for the preparation of the schedule, managing updates, progressing activities, and generating required reports. This position requires a highly skilled P6 scheduler who knows how to build and maintain schedules and possesses a deep understanding of advanced scheduling principles, risk management, and forensic analysis methodologies to support complex project management.

 

In this role, the Master Scheduler is expected to:

 

  • Be skilled in schedule analysis, including the Critical Path Method and Precedence Diagram Method.
  • Complete Monte Carlo analysis, AACE 52R-06 compliant Time Impact Analysis including Fragnet, AACE 29R-03 compliant Forensic schedule analysis.
  • Implement and manage early start/early finish and float for all task lines.
  • Have the ability to develop and manage a schedule with multiple project level calendar types.
  • Develop and maintain a cost-loaded and activity coded project and construction schedule.
  • Ensure the schedule has sufficient detail in tasking such that less than 2% of non-procurement activities can have durations greater than 30 calendar days.
  • Monitor and track weekly progress and provide monthly updates for the Government customer.
  • Show physical percentage complete for each task.
  • Implement resource loading for tasks may be required (e.g., if proposing early finish)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelors degree and 8 years of additional project scheduling experience
  • 2-years of experience scheduling construction projects similar in size and nature to this project. (Multi-year high dollar value projects.) 
  • 2 years of experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of CPM scheduling principles and application
  • Ability to Travel up to 10% 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Expertise in the use of Primavera P6
  • Experience developing and maintaining schedules for the US Army Corps of Engineers and the use of USACE RMS is highly desirable

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $103,977.88 to $173,296.47; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
