Position Description

Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports integrating capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum.  Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure. 

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation.  The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining detailed schedules for an accurate production schedule that aligns with customer demands and facility capacity.
  • Provide clear communication of operational plans, capacity, and performance metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
  • May be responsible for managing the schedule of multiple locations
  • Keeps schedule current using automated tools. Modifies schedule as appropriate and maintains status on linkages and dependencies with related projects
  • Responsible for defining and implementing schedule CM processes, including version control processes
  • Reviews schedule for conflicts to KPP/KPIs, focus on customer on-time delivery, and efficiency to identify risks and discuss risk mitigation with leadership
  • Coordinate with functional area leads to communicate and track daily production schedules

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:   

  • An active Secret clearance.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management with 5 years of master scheduling experience.
  • Strong analytical skill and attention to detail
  • Proficient in scheduling software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Travel up to 10% 

 Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical analysis
  • Experience Microsoft Project
