Position Description

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding position that leverages your technical experience with integrated systems and high profile problem solving?  Join the Serco team of highly skilled peers as a Technical Business Consultant and be a team member of our Systems Integration and Installation (SI2) Engineering team  You will work with and be part of a talented and dynamic technical team supporting high profile Department of Defense programs. 

 

This position is a Full-Time member of the C4ISR Engineering team, and reports to the Director, Chief Engineer.  Remote/Telework opportunities are dependent on current program support and leadership approval.

 

In this role you will:

  • Support C4ISR Program Management with technical expertise, problem resolution, analysis, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Provide technical knowledge and skills in supporting the design, modification, testing, operations, sustainment, and maintenance, of C5ISR integrated systems, including hardware and software.
  • Support the Electronic Security Systems program teams and provide technical analysis, technical data package maintenance, site survey reports, test reports, risk management support, quality support, and obsolescence support for systems including, access control points, automated vehicle gates, integrated audio and video systems, and C5ISR systems of systems.
  • Perform technical activities and review to support ESS programs in maintaining a variety of C5ISR integrated systems operational, resolving mechanical issues and supporting CONUS and OCONUS Operations to achieve program operational readiness targets.
  • Perform engineering computations, problem resolution, and troubleshooting manually or using automated analysis programs.
  • Assist program personnel in all technical aspects of project work.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of ESS integrated systems, SATCOM, RF, C2 electronics, software, cybersecurity, network, and cloud technologies.
  • Review training materials for technical accuracy.
  • Design, develop, and test systems and equipment.  Create engineering sketches, drawings, graphs, slides, and charts for preliminary or final packages, reports, or briefings.  Assist in the preparation of appropriate technical documentation.
  • Provide support to SI2 capture and Business Development efforts.
  • Comply with security and quality procedures in the performance of duties.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • An Active DOD Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship, valid US Passport, valid US Driver’s License.
  • Bachelor’s’ degree in engineering or similar discipline with 8 years of direct experience or an associate’s degree in engineering or similar discipline with 10 years’ direct experience.
  • 8 years of experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of integrated C5ISR systems ;a clear understanding of integrated system of systems development and operations. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information clearly and concisely with system end users, operators, technicians, managers, customers, and leadership.
  • Experience in producing systems architecture views and reports, technical data packages, test reports, and site survey reports.
  • Experience working with technicians and logisticians in an operational field service, system sustainment environment.
  • Ability to multitask and support a variety of projects from ESS to fielded command and control electronics.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software to include MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time CONOUS and OCONUS.

Additional desired experience and skills:

 

  • Experience working with software, cybersecurity, and hardware troubleshooting and system updates.
  • Experience working with networked components, software application programs, and hardware devices.
  • Previous service experience.  Preferably C5ISR, Computer Systems, Networks, or Force Protection systems including
