Position Description

Are you ready to put your hands-on skills to work supporting mission-critical projects for the U.S. Navy? Serco is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Pensacola, FL to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential part in assembling, fabricating, and installing advanced C4ISR systems that directly support the warfighter. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance 

 

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Support large-scale and detailed mechanical assembly tasks under direct supervision.
  • Perform general labor such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Learn structured cabling practices, including termination and testing of fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Install cable trays, communication cabinets, grounding/bonding, and raised access flooring.
  • Follow established guidelines and instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while working in diverse environments.
  • Travel extensively to both CONUS and OCONUS project sites in support of Navy installations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance 
    • U.S Citizenship required 
  • A High School Diploma/GED 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the year (CONUS and OCONUS)
    • Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Passport
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Manual dexterity to perform detailed assembly tasks
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift/carry items up to 50 pounds

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Prior experience traveling for work
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance
  • A valid driver’s license
