Position Description

As the Data Metrics Analyst, part of Team Submarine, located in Washington, D.C., you will be expected to bring your curiosity, drive, and collaborative skills to make a positive impact supporting our military and the safety of our Sailors. Serco supports the US Navy for their Team Submarine contract in the maintenance, sustainment, and disposal of in-service submarines. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force. The Team Submarine concept unifies diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities.  

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide management, direction, and administration for the collection, validation, holistic analysis, and reporting of program data.
  • Identify, collect, analyze, and extract key data and information from NAVSEA database systems and other SharePoint sites.
  • Design and create datasets in Excel to track division activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and NAVSEA clients to collect and analyze data.
  • Perform extract, transform, and load (ETL) from NAVSEA audit files and conduct statistical analysis through Excel.
  • Utilize Excel pivot table, charts, and formulas to create metrics reports associated with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for internal assessments.
  • Use tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel to create data visualization as needed. Support NAVSEA database development, and resolution of issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An Active or Current Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or similar technical field.
    • An Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 year of experience (Experience with Data Metrics and Databases highly preferred)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Sharepoint and Power BI.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

In compliance with the District of Columbia’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $63,881.84 to $106,470.54; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
