This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

 

Serco supports the US Air Force as a prime contractor for the Distributed Mission Operations Center Infrastructure, Development, and Engineering (DMOC IDE) contract supporting the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS). The mission of the 705 CTS is to “develop and integrate technologies to deliver a Live-Virtual-Constructive combat environment for Air Force, Joint and Coalition warfighter training.”

 

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco technologies, network security, voice systems, and LAN/WAN architecture.

 

In this role, you willL

  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls across enterprise environments.
  • Manage and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Administer and support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager) systems, including VoIP configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewall policies, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Monitor network performance and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior network staff.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A U.S. Citizenship. 
  • A Department of Defense (DOD) Top Secret clearance is required. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and technologies.
  • A strong experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, or other enterprise-grade firewalls.
  • To be proficient in configuring and managing Cisco Call Manager and VoIP systems.
  • A clear understanding of the AWI DoD 8570.01 and DoD 8570.01-M. IAT Level II or III protocols.
  • A solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, and subnetting.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • The ability to travel 10%.
