This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active DoD Top-Secret security clearance.

 

 

Serco is proud to partner with the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AF AMS) in support of our nation's defense.  The AF AMS is a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of the Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF). AFAMS manages AF Modeling and Simulation (M&S) requirements and implements M&S overarching policy and guidance. Per AF Mission Directive (AFMD) 56, AFAMS advocates AF-wide requirements for new or improved M&S systems, science and technology improvements, innovation, and transition of capabilities, and aligns it with Department of Defense (DoD) information technology strategy to support a future state for the M&S community. AFAMS, as the HAF A3 Point of Contact (POC) for M&S, is responsible for integrating M&S capabilities to support the Warfighter. AF AMS, partnered with the Director of Training and Readiness (A3T) at the Pentagon, leads the HAF effort to organize enterprise solutions to build an efficient foundation to achieve readiness. Additionally, AF AMS has cybersecurity oversight responsibilities and makes recommendations for approvals to operate/connect for Operational Training and Test Infrastructure (OTTI) systems on behalf of AF/A3T and SAF/CIO A6.

 

This role can be performed from the following location(s):

  • Orlando, FL

 

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a member of the Security Control Assessor Representative (SCAR)/ Certifying Authority Representatives (CAR) team.
  • Conduct the review of security requirements and certification and accreditation issues associated with LVC-OT systems, networks, and ranges.
  • Serve as a member of the LVC Authorizing Official cyber security staff, with responsibility for ensuring Information Assurance and Computer Security is incorporated in full life cycle of systems in computer and network infrastructure at all classification levels.
  • Develop, improve, and implement Computer Network Defense (CND) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs on multiple unclassified and classified networks and systems.
  • Support certification and accreditation processes, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), Continuous Monitoring (CM), and assist in development and implementation of plans of action and milestones (POA&M).
  • Develop and report relevant metrics and information on Information Assurance, RMF, CM, CND, and security control status of networks and systems.
  • Develop and provide Information Assurance and CND training, guides, and instructions.
  • Support government in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and developing schedules to deliver program objectives on schedule and within budget while adhering to DoD regulations and changing situations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An active DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
  • A B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Sciences earned within the last 20 years with at least 10 years of tactical experience in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with Information Assurance and Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with RMF.
  • A working knowledge of eMASS.
  • Experience in applying information systems security principles and concepts, and project management principles.
  • Experience in applying information systems security concepts and methods across multiple IT disciplines.
  • Experience with Operational Air Force systems.
  • A DoD Directive 8570 IAM II certification (i.e., Certified Authorization Professional).

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Joint Training Enterprise Architecture (JTEA).
  • DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Joint Training Integration and Evaluation Center (JTIEC).
  • Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS).
  • High Level Architecture (HLS).
  • Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA).
  • Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE).
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cloud Computing Definitions and Standards (NIST Special Publication 800-145 and 800-144).
