Serco provides logistics sustainment and contingency support to IFRCO both OCONUS (Kuwait, Iraq & Syria) and CONUS (Redstone Arsenal, Yuma Proving Ground, and Fort Sill, OK) by conducting logistics database administration and lifecycle management of supplies.

 

The Database Administrator will be part of a diverse team of highly talented personnel who work closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality logistics support to IFRCO CONUS and OCONUS locations. You will be part of our Huntsville based logistics team supporting multiple government customers in COLTS help desk actions, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control and Total Asset Visibility, including configuration management, distribution management, property accountability, and equipment disposition.

 

 This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret Clearance

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for logistic and technical support for COLTS database customers.
  • Create and edit new and existing inventory, scripting database imports, trouble-shooting shipping, receiving and disposal of database items. 
  • User administrator for new and existing COLTS users, database configuration, and liaison to COLTS database hosting organization.
  • Responsible for training and technical support to COLTS helpdesk personnel, and liaison for COLTS provider. 
  • Provide input for DPAS transition and AESIP inputs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active Secret clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 10 years of experience as a database administrator or network administrator  
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a database administrator or network administrator
  • Experience in consulting directly with military customers
  • Comp TIA Security + or Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Strong understanding of COLTS 
  • Knowledge and strong understanding in SQL Server

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • MCE (Microsoft Certified Engineer)
  • CompTIA Network+
