Serco supports the US Air Force as a prime for their DMOC contract maintaining their simulation training exercises.  Our team upgrades, maintains, and manages the software that runs on battle space systems to ensure the safety of the airman and to allow them to perform their missions successfully.

You will be part of a small team of programmers that work closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems.  The team has been recognized by the Air Force and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the program.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and deliver high-availability and performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Code, design, and implement Python, C++, and JAVA script for Airforce training systems.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging activities and maintenance.
• Develop application codes for programs, technical designs for application development and recommend changes to improve established python application processes.
• Identify production and non-production application issues, develop solutions, and implement necessary changes.

To be successful in this roll, you will have:

• An active Interim Secret clearance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.
• 2 years of Python, C++, and JAVA Script programming experience.
• Experience in consulting directly with military customers.
• Experience in programming for military systems.
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• The ability to travel up to 10%

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and SQLite technologies.
• Experience in the Django, and ReactJS Framework.
• Experience in Linux (Red hat) and containerization (Docker).
