Position Description

If you enjoy working on high profile and challenging engineering projects supporting the US Army, Serco has a great opportunity for you!  The Logistics Analyst will be part of a dynamic team at our Fort Carson, CO location.  Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and success of our Soldiers.

 

Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports integrating capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum.  Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure. 

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation.  The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze and develop logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
  • Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management
  • Requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
  • Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments
  • Examine material delivered to production departments to verify type specified
  • Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand
  • Move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck
  • Communicate with Unit representatives which include Supply Sergeants, Unit Executive Officers and Commanders, and Property Book Officers
  • Coordinate and execute transportation requests throughout multiple military installations

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma and 2 years of logistics experience
  • Knowledge of MSOffice computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarization with creating and maintaining Bill of Materials
  • Travel up 10%

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Government logistics and inventory databases
  • Knowledge of supply and warehouse operations; preferably within Government or Military operations
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015
  • Forklift Experience is a plus
